Writing Mentorship

Bring me the idea, the messy middle, or the completed draft.

Whether you’re developing an idea, rebuilding a difficult middle, revising a completed manuscript, or trying to stay accountable long enough to finish, you’ll get thoughtful developmental feedback designed to move your project forward. I hold a graduate degree in Creative Writing, have worked as a developmental editor for an independent publishing house, and write and publish commercial fiction.

Developmental Edits

Writing mentorship that meets you where you are.

Each plan is intentionally focused: enough access to create momentum, enough space for you to keep writing. Bring me an idea, an outline, a character bible, a partial draft, a completed manuscript, or a specific writing problem. You’ll receive thoughtful developmental feedback, practical revision guidance, and a clear next step.

Finish the story you started—with expert guidance at every stage.

You don’t need another reader who says, “I liked it.” You need an experienced fiction professional who can help you understand why the story is or isn’t working—and what to do next.

Meet your editor

Practical guidance from a book editor and author.

I hold a graduate degree in Creative Writing, have worked as a developmental editor for an independent publishing house, and write and publish commercial fiction.

You get formal craft training and real-world story experience in the same conversation. My feedback is candid, compassionate, and grounded in what your story is trying to become.

A note on AI-assisted writing

Your voice stays at the center.

I welcome AI-assisted manuscripts. Substantive AI-generated or AI-rewritten pages must be disclosed before work begins. If extensive voice restoration or reconstruction is needed, the scope, timeline, or fee may change. A revised fee may be up to 50% of the original quote and will be discussed and approved in writing before work continues.

I do not use generative AI to create, rewrite, substantively edit, summarize, or analyze a client’s manuscript. That policy protects your work, your creative voice, and the quality of the editorial relationship.
